TWO CONVICTED OF 2013 WESTGATE TERROR ATTACK

Two of three people linked to the 2013 attack on Westgate shopping mall in Kenya’s capital Nairobi have been found guilty of conspiracy to commit a terrorist act.

The Nairobi Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi set one of the suspects free for lack of evidence.

The three had been charged with helping armed militants launch the attack.

The September 2013 Westgate attack left 62 civilians, five security officers and the four attackers dead.
