INTERNET REINSTATED AFTER FOUR DAYS OF SHUT DOWN IN UGANDA

After four days of Internet shutdown, it has been reinstated.

The government shutdown the internet on the evening of the eve of Election Day just hours after social media was also shut without giving any reason but many anticipate that it was preventing the spread of inciting messages on the election and during tallying days.

However, the deputy speaker of parliament and NRM vice national chairman northern Uganda Jacob Oulanya has sympathized with all those people that were affected by the internet shutdown.

The deputy speaker said he knows that various people that use internet for purposes of business, studies among other valid reasons noting that they were affected heavily.

He meanwhile, said internet shutdown did not interfere with elections or the outcomes.
