In Mbarara district the returning officer Betty Komugyereko this morning declared Didas Tabaro the NRM flag bear with a total of 20,583 votes defeating an independent candidate Hygin Twongyirwe Kururagyire who got 18,564 votes.
In Mbarara city Robert Mugabe kakyebezi was declared as winner with 23,442 votes by the Mbarara city returning officer Violet Atuhurra followed by FDC candidate Stanely Katebenya Tugume with6068 votes.
In Rwampara district Richard Owomugasho NRM was cleared as winner by Nicholas Twinomujuni with 22,035 defeating Gordson Zabashaija with 11,160 votes, onesimus Tayebwa NUP with 313 votes.
In Buhweju, Independent candidate Deo Atuhaire was the winner with 21,026 defeating the NRM flag bearer and incumbent John Juvenari Asiimwe according to the district returning officer Alex Ainebyoona.
In Bushenyi, the District returning officer Godfrey Mbabazi has this morning declared Jaffari Bassajabalaba NRM as the winner of Bushenyi district LC 5 seat with 48,078 votes beating his rival Moses Bandeeba FDC who polled 9,723 votes.
In Isingiro district by press time, the electoral team was still tallying the result of two candidates Aron Turahi NRM and Patrick Kajumba independent candidate after tallying Mukundane David district returning.
