Police in Rubaare Ntungamo district have in detention six members of the same family on charges of aggravated murder.
The suspects are Amos Sajja is a business man in Rwashamaire Town council in Kajara his wife, son, daughter and 2 employees all residents of Enkura cell in Kakanena parish, Rugarama in Ntungamo district.
According to Samson Kasasira the Rwizi Region Police spokesman, those in detention are suspected to have had a hand in the murder of a 5 year old Shadiru Migadde a resident of Kyobugombe village Kamahuri parish Rugarama North.
Kasasiira says the deceased went missing on Monday evening at around 7PM, and when the parents together with neighbors mounted a search they discovered his shirt hanging at the gate of Sajja in Enkura cell.
According to Kasasira, the residents proceeded into the gate where they discovered the victim’s head lying in Sajja’s compound and torso dumped in the banana plantation.
Kasasira says the angry residents, yesterday morning descended on the suspect’s banana plantation and other properties, destroying them to the ground.
The deceased’s body was taken to Rubaare health Centre 4 pending postmortem as police investigations commence.
