The Forum for Democratic Change presidential candidate, Patrick Oboi Amuriat, has pleaded with the more than 17.6 million registered voters to reject bribes from fake politicians.

Amuriat, who started his campaigns in Kalaki and Kaberamaido yesterday, said he would be a servant who meets the needs of people.

Amuriat said part of the root cause of bad governance is because of the nature of leaders electorates entrust their mandate with.

He added that a pack of salt, a piece of soap or a  kilogramme of sugar is not worth a vote, but well-articulated issues affecting the country.

The presidential hopeful said pathetic roads continue to pile misery on people, saying for the few days that he has been in Teso, there are no proper feeder roads.

He said his government would improve the nature of roads across the country, among other reforms.

Meanwhile, the NRM flag bearer Kashari North constituency Basil Bataringaya has attributed to poor service delivery to electors who elect business people to take up leadership offices.

Speaking to our reporter, Bazil said that most leaders take leadership as a business and forget to work for the people which retard development in different communities.
