Tragic Explosion Kils Two Welders in Njeru Municipality

Admin
By Admin

In Njeru, two welders have died in a tragic explosion that occurred at about 1pm in the Triangle Zone of Njeru Municipality, Buikwe District.

Witnesses say the incident happened as the victims attempted to work on a metal structure. It is suspected that the explosion could have been caused by mishandling of yet-to-be-identified metal.

Not leaving anything to speculation, security agencies, including the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF), counterterrorism units, and local law enforcement cordoned off the area to secure the scene and launch an investigation.

Residents in the vicinity were urged to remain a distance away as authorities started investigating the matter.
