Tributes have continued to flow since the news broke of the death of the emeritus Archbishop of Mbarara Archdiocese, Paul Kamuza Bakyenga, yesterday.
People have shared fond recollections of his role in different aspects of life.
The Speaker of Parliament Anita Among and her Deputy Thomas Tayebwa took to their official social media platforms to eulogise Mbarara Archbishop emeritus, Paul Kaamuza Bakyenga who died Tuesday morning at Nsambya hospital in Kampala.
Among eulogised Bakyenga as a man who was dedicated to his calling, further highlighting his immense contribution to the development of the country.
In a tweet, Tayebwa eulogised Bakyenga as his spiritual father, a cheerleader, and counselor to many.
Sheema district Woman MP Rosemary Nyakikongoro said the late clergyman was not only her father-in-law but also a very good friend of hers.
According to Nyakikongoro, the late Archbishop Emeritus was an intelligent man who harbored a heart for helping people.
Many people now see his departure as having left a vacuum in the hearts of not only the Catholic fraternity but also across the religious and political divide in Uganda’s western sub-region of Ankole.
Bakyenga was regarded as a unifier and counselor to many politicians.
