editor
By editor

Heavy rains have left Christians stranded after their church in Sheema District was destroyed.

The incident happened over the weekend in Nyakabirizi village, Kakindo Town Council in Sheema.

The heavy rains, which were characterised by strong winds and hailstorm, lasted for about four hours, in which the roof and the walls of the church collapsed.

Juliet Mwebaze, the Nyakabirizi Church of Uganda head of laity, told Endigyito radio that the incident left them stranded as their church is all down.

Rev. Nice Nahwera, the Nyakabirizi Church of Uganda parish priest, appealed to the West Ankole Diocese leadership for a helping hand, saying that they are in preparations to start constructing a new church.
