POLICE OFFICER SHOOTS HIMSELF DEAD IN KASESE

Residents of Hima town council in Kasese District are in shock following the death of a policeman who is said to have shot himself at the Hima Police Division.

The deceased officer, identified as Francis Madici, was attached to the field force unit.

According to the Hima town council vice chairperson, Christopher Happy, the incident happened at around 9pm last night.

He said town council authorities are concerned about the incident since many people are scared.

The Rwenzori East Regional police commander, Samuel Asiimwe confirmed the incident but declined to divulge more details saying that police were still investigating the matter.
