The NRM Secretary General, Justine Kasule Lumumba has said the ruling NRM party has been fair enough to allow Kamuli District Woman MP to serve as Speaker of Parliament and Deputy Speaker for a combined 20 years.
Yesterday, Kadaga, who had been the incumbent, was dropped as the NRM flag bearer for the Speakership race in favour of her former deputy, Jacob Oulanyah.
This has since attracted statements from Kadaga claiming that the Central Executive Committee (CEC) was not fair to her.
Speaking in response to questions from journalists about the same, Lumumba said Kadaga is being untruthful by claiming that the party’s top organ has not been fair.
The ruling NRM party Secretary General insisted that it is foolhardy and double standards for someone who has gone through unopposed for 20 years to claim unfairness because someone else has been endorsed in a similar fashion.
