Uganda Cranes has been pitted in Group F alongside Algeria, Niger and Tanzania in the Total Energies Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 group stage qualifiers.

The 48 teams were drawn last evening during a ceremony held in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Uganda Cranes who missed out on the AFCON 2021 will be looking forward to making amends when the 2023 edition of the qualifiers kick-off later in June this year.

Uganda Cranes coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic after the draw was conducted said with hard work, they have what it takes to go back to the AFCON.

The draw conducted by the CAF Competitions Director Samson Adamu and assisted by former South African captain Lucas Redebe and ex-Ivory Coast striker Solomon Kalou saw the teams divided into 12 groups from A to L.

The best two teams in each group will qualify for the AFCON 2023 to take place in Ivory Coast.
