Fire has this morning burnt the Mbarara view high School block destroying Property worth millions of shillings.
Mbarara Police Fire Brigade swung into action to extinguish the fire that had ravaged the headmaster’s office, staffroom and library stopping it from spreading to other school blocks.
Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region spokesperson confirmed the incident saying the fire broke out at around 03:00Am last night but he didn’t give much details as they were still scanty.
He says the cause of the fire is yet to be known but inquiries to ascertain the cause have started.
This is the fourth school fire in less than a week in this region following the fire that burned Mbarara Secondary School dormitory in Mbarara City, Rushanje Girls school dormitory in Rwampara district and St Andrews Secondary School boys’ dormitory in Rubindi Mbarara.
