Police in Rwampara are investigating circumstances under which a 56 year old was murdered in cold blood in Kiziba cell Kibaare parish Ndeija Sub County Rwampara District.
It’s alleged that on the 11th January 2021 one Gregory Katalahwire was hacked to death by unknown assailants.
According to police, the deceased’s wife Agnes Tindibakira, the deceased left the house around midnight to check on his goats which were bleating.
Tindibakira said after waiting for the husband in vain she also followed and found all of their goats missing where she alerted neighbours who responded and made a search around and they happened to recover all goats which were moving alone on the road but the deceased was missing.
As they were returning back home at a distance of about 50meters from their home a body of the deceased was recovered lying on the road side with cut wounds in the head.
Samson Kasasira the Rwizi region police spokesperson said that they arrested one suspect who he didn’t reveal details to help in investigations.
