A 78-YEAR-OLD WOMAN COMMITS SUICIDE IN BUHWEJU

Police in Buhweju district are investigating circumstances under which a 78-year-old woman ended her life by hanging.

Marshal Tumusiime the greater Bushenyi police spokesperson confirmed the incident and identified the deceased as Kenjara Desiranta.

He said the incident happened over the weekend in Nyarubombora Village, Mushasha Parish, Buhunga sub county in Buhweju District.

Tumusiime further said that it was reported to police by one Mubangizi Ronald, her son who informed police that her mother had committed suicide by hanging.
He said that they have visited the scene of crime and postmortem done as investigations into the matter are going on.
