BODA-BODA CHAIRPERSON IN MBARARA KILLED AND HIS MOTORCYCLE TAKEN BY UNKNOWN ASSAILANTS

Police in Mbarara City South Division are hunting for an unknown assailant(s) who murdered a 36-year-old boda-boda rider last night.

Samson Kasasira the police spokesperson Rwizi Region has identified the deceased as Shafic Ssemujju bodaboda rider at Kasingyengye boda stage and chairperson of the night shift.

Kasasira says the deceased was killed by unknown assailants by stabbing and his body later dumped in Karugangama Cell, Katete ward Mbarar City South Division, where it was discovered this morning at around 8:00am with his motorcycle registration number UFU 837B missing.

ASP Kasasira however added that the scene of crime was examined and body retrieved taken to Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem.

Efforts to identify the assailants and recover the stolen motorcycle are ongoing.
