The Former deputy government spokesperson late Col Shaban Bantariza has been laid to rest today.

Bantariza was laid to rest at his ancestral home in Kagorogoro village Rutookye town council Ruhinda North County, Mitooma District in a scientific burial with a limited number of mourners consisting of mostly family members.

President Yoweri Museveni, who was represented by Gen Kahinda Otafiire described Bantariza as a trustworthy, patient, and a hero who has never betrayed his country.
