KATESH-862c67ff

The DPC Sheema district Scovia Birungi, has appealed to all political candidates supporters to desist from engaging in violent political activities ahead of the 14th January elections.

Birungi said that police condemns harassment and encourages peaceful coexistence with other political candidates while carrying out their campaigns.

Her comments follow the incident over the weekend where supporters of two candidates Dr Elioda Tumwesigye, and Dickson Kateshumbwa clashed leaving at least 11 people nursing injuries.

However, the RDC Sheema district Frank Besigye Kyereere warned the young generation against manipulation by political leaders to engage in acts that will compromise their future.
