GO CHECK YOUR EYES, PUBLIC RALLIED

People have been challenged to go for regular eye checkups as eye diseases are on rise.

This call was made by Dr Peter Sebutinde the Mbarara District Health Officer (DHO) during the launch of Glaucoma screening and treatment project for south western region yesterday at Mbarara university and referral hospital eye center.

This project is supported by Christian blind mission, a Germany organisation. 

Dr. Arunga Simon the head of Glaucoma treatment at Mbarara university and referral hospital eye center noted that Glaucoma is the most leading blindness causing disease but can be treated if detected early.

Tweheyo Oscar country coordinator Christian Blind Mission noted that they will keep on providing support for a noble cause
