Ugandans have been urged to embrace HIV testing from Health facilities rather than self-testing.
This has been sounded today during a half-day media café for Journalists on “Breast Feeding Practices among Women Living with HIV organized by Health Journalists Network Uganda (HEJNU) held in Mbarara City.
According to Dr. Mike Kyewalyanga, a pediatrician and HIV focal person at the Holy Innocents’ Children’s Hospital, Ugandans who self-test themselves may end up getting inaccurate results as they don’t always follow the right procedures.
He says there are medical procedures which should be followed to get accurate and reliable results.
