HIGHT COURT IN MBARARA DISMISSES APPLICATIONS TO BLOCK NOMINATION OF WOMAN MPS IN RWAMPARA AND KAZO DISTRICTS

The High Court in Mbarara has today 7th October 2020 dismissed an application intended to bar Molly Asimwe from being nominated as the NRM flag bearer for woman member of parliament Rwampara district.

Presided over by the Deputy registrar Samuel Twakire, the High Court dismissed the injunction that was filed by one Annah Kansiime contesting the victory of Molly Asimwe.

In his ruling Samuel Twakire, said that Annah’s petition was dismissed on grounds that it lacked substantial evidence hence baseless.

Speaking to journalists after court, Molly Asimwe called upon Rwampara people to work together and unit fore the common cause of rallying voters to vote for NRM at all levels.

Relatedly, the high court in Mbarara presided over by Lady Justice Kavuma Joyce dismissed the petetion filed by Minister of state for Economic monitoring Molly Kamukama  intending to block janipher Muheesi from being nominated as NRM flag bearer for kazo district woman MP.

Justice Kavuma in her ruling said that the evidence the petitioner brought to court was nagging thus dismissal of the application.
