Toro Kingdom premier Steven Kiyingi has said the 28th coronation anniversary celebrations of King Oyo Kabamba Iguru will take place as scheduled.
Kiyingi’s remarks follow the pulling out of the Abagaya clan members whom the King had selected to animate this year’s coronation anniversary celebrations.
The pulling out of the Abagaya comes hardly two months before the coronation anniversary celebrations set for September 12, 2023.
Kiyingi says that his administration has already established different working committees to carry on the role of organising a colorful coronation celebration for the King.
The King’s coronation anniversary celebration, according to Kiyingi, is a palace activity for which the Queen Mother Best Kemigisa is the quality assurer of all that takes the palace.
According to him, Oyo selected the Abagaya clan to animate this year’s coronation anniversary following the high level of organization they displayed at the annual general meeting last year.
