Leaders in Kashare sub-county Kashari North Mbarara district have decried the increased theft of livestock that is alarming.

In an interview with our reporter, the LC11 chairperson Mirogo parish in Kashare sub-county Alfred Mwesigye said that it is unfortunate that those thieves are their own people who don’t want to work.

He noted that recently they were shocked when thieves stole the cow that was brought to be slaughtered at the burial but it was later recovered.

He noted that they are calling out meetings to find the way forward on how to deal with safety as well as identifying those involved in the act.
