MINISTER MOLLY KAMUKAMA LOSSES ELECTION PETITION IN KAZO DISTRICT RACE

The High court in Mbarara has today thrown out an injunction earlier lodged in stopping the nomination of Jenifer Muheesi as the NRM flag bearer for Kazo woman MP.

The injunction had October 5th this month been lodged by her rival who is also State minister for economic monitoring Ms Molly Kamukama on grounds that Muheesi should be blocked from being nominated until the main case is disposed of.

But Ms Muheesi through her lawyer Mark Mugisha opposed the injunction on grounds that if granted their client will lose nominations and her NRM party will go without a candidate and that the application has been taken over by events.

Mbarara high Deputy Registrar Samuel Twakire ruled in favour of the defendants, giving Ms Muheesi a green light to take part in the nominations that kicks off tomorrow.
