MWIZI HEALTH CENTRE THREE INCHARGE ARRESTED OVER STEALING COVID19 TESTING KITS

Police in Rwampara district under orders of the RDC Emmy Katera Turyabagyenyi have arrested Fredrick Byanyima in charge of Mwizi Health Center 111 for Stealing 3 covid 19 Rapid testing kits.

This was during routine monitoring of health facilities in Rwampara district led by the RDC Emmy Kateera Turyabagyenyi.

Katera confirmed the arrest of Byanyima and he is to be charged with theft and forgery.

According to Katera, Rwampara received 1300 Rapid testing kits and Kinoni health center 4 and Ndeija health center 3 shared 650 kits and Bugamba health center 2 and Mwizi Health Center 3 shared 650 kits.

The RDC said while on monitoring, at Mwizi Health Center 3 they found out that some testing kits were the facility in-charge could not explain thus ordering his arrest.

By press time, Byanyima Fredrick was in detention at Nyihanga police station.
