Practicing lawyers and law students have been asked to always exhibit good ethics and high levels of professionalism while doing their work to protect the image of the law profession.

This was sounded by Lady Justice Catherine Bamugemerire, of the court of appeal and Justice Mike Chibita of the Supreme Court while at a law symposium that was organized by law students of Bishop Stuart University in Mbarara city.

Lady justice Catherine Bamugemerire, revealed that a personal image for any law student and practicing lawyers will set the agenda for the public.

She further told law students that by studying the profession, it will put them in the good position of politics and financiers for those who would want to look at a diversified career.

On his part, Justice Mike Chibita, cautioned them about love for quick riches saying it can easily land them into troubles hence tarnishing the profession’s image.
