ONE DIES IN A HIT AND RUN ACCIDENT IN MBARARA CITY

One person has died and another injured in a hit and run accident in Mbarara City.

According to Samson Kasasira the Rwizi Regional police Spokesperson the accident happened along the Mbarara-Kabale Road last night at Ngaro Mwenda Bridge.

Kasasira, said police are hunting for the vehicle that was involved after it hit a motorcycle registration number UFR722N from behind killing its rider instantly.

The police mouthpiece said the yet to be identified boda boda rider died on spot and the passenger sustained serious injuries and is now admitted at Mbarara regional referral hospital.
