PAY JOURNALISTS IN TIME TO SAVE THEM FROM BEING COMPROMISED

By Admin

Media companies have been asked to always pay their workers in time to avoid misinformation and negative reporting.

This was sounded by the Resident city commissioner Mbarara city LT Col James Mwesigye as he opened a one day training workshop organised by UNESCO under the theme safety of journalists in Uganda.

Mwesigye also expressed dissatisfaction with some media owners for not paying their workers and ending up being compromised by self-seekers.

Rosie Agoi the general secretary of Uganda national commission for UNESCO noted that even journalists need to be counseled as they face many problems in line of duty which affect them mentally.
