The Rwenzururu king, Charles Wesley Mumbere Iremangoma, has asked subjects, especially politicians, to promote peace, security, unity, and coexistence.
He made the statement during a thanksgiving service at St Paul Cathedral in South Rwenzori Diocese in Kasese District.
Omusinga said politicians divide the kingdom and her people because of their selfish interests and motives, saying all these practices should immediately stop.
He said some people had misrepresented the kingdom to the government, making it seem as if the king harbored animosity towards other ethnic groups in the Rwenzori Sub-region.
He revealed that prior to his return on October 4, he had engagements with President Museveni on strategies to foster peace and the development in the sub-region.
