The Chief of Defence Forces, Gen David Muhoozi, has tasked the newly promoted army officers to ensure they do not embarrass the Army and the country.

Gen Muhoozi, who was speaking at the piping ceremony of 33 Brigadiers and seven Major Generals at the ministry of defence headquarters in Mbuya, said that the new ranks come with new responsibilities.

The army officers have been reminded that they must at all times conduct themselves in respect to their ranks while serving in the force and their families.

Gen Muhoozi urged the officers to serve the Army, Uganda and President Yoweri Museveni who is the Commander in Chief with loyalty.

For those who expected to be promoted but have not been considered, Gen Muhoozi rallied them not to be demoralized but to continue serving diligently because their time could come soon.
