The Rwampara Resident District Commissioner (RDC) and the district Police Commander (DPC) are on the spot over fueling election violence and divisionism in the area.

During NRM reconciliatory meeting at the district headquarters over the weekend presided over by the Prime Minister Ruhakana Rugunda, some of the aspirants who lost in NRM primaries accuse RC Emmy Kateera Turyabagyenyi and DPC Opio Patrick for having a hand in election violence and divisionism.

Aspirants led by former Area MP Vincent Kyamadidi claim that the two government officials took sides in the NRM party primaries and involved themselves in election rigging.

When we contacted the acting RDC Turyabagyenyi Kateera said all those who raised malicious allegations against him were only those who lost in the elections as their plans of rigging elections were blocked by the security.

Kateera noted that all candidates that were complaining they were having their own hidden agenda to mismanage the elections that’s why they are accusing him and his fellow security head for failing their plans.
