THEFT OF DOGS ON HIGH RATE IN KASHARE SUBCOUNTY

Authorities in Kashare sub-county and Nyabisirira town council Kashari North county Mbarara district have raised a red flag over increased livestock theft in the area.

This was revealed in the stakeholders meeting chaired by the RDC Mbarara Godfrey Mbetegyerize held at Omumabara C.O.U.

Fred Mwesigye the LCIII Chairperson Kashary Sub County noted that the theft of livestock including pigs, Dogs, cattle, goats has resumed in high gear which is worrying the locals in the area.

Mwesigye says people have started staying with pigs under one roof for fear of being stolen.

He revealed that they have so far received a report from Ncuune parish in Kashare sub-county where three dogs have been stolen.

In his remarks the RDC Mbarara district Godfrey Mbetegyerize said they have noted the matter with the concern noting that they are going to carry out an operation to crack down the thugs.

Ndyanabo Dues Mayor Nyabisirira Town council suspects that locals would be forced to carry out mob justice in case one is caught red handed thus warning the criminals that their days are numbered.
