As Uganda marks the 59th independence tomorrow, Ugandans have been called upon to embrace the transformation in the country since 1962.
Herbert Muhangi the Resident District Commissioner Isingiro notes that Uganda as a country has registered tremendous developments which has facilitated the transformation of the society.
According to Muhangi, it is worth celebrating this day as people have gained their independence, mostly freedom of speech, expression and movement.
Relatedly, the resident city commissioner Mbarara Lt Col James Mwesigye has challenged Ugandans to work toward mid-set change as one way of securing their future as Uganda marks 59 years of independence.
He noted that working hard and patriotism will transfer this country to middle income status by 2040.
Mwesigye noted that even though the country still has some challenges like corruption, among others, there is peace.
The scientific celebration will be held at Kololo ceremonial Grounds with only 600 invited guests.
