THERE IS NO MONEY TO RECRUIT TEACHERS-MINISTER MUYINGO

editor
By editor

Higher education state minister John C. Muyingo has attributed the failure to recruit teachers for government-aided schools to a lack of funds.

The revelation yesterday, was during plenary in Parliament after Kasilo County Mp Elijah Okupa raised a matter of national importance concerning grant-aided schools failing to recruit teachers.

He, however, said they have not recruited any teachers because they have not been provided with funds.

Kalungu West MP Joseph Ssewungu also asked Muyingo to explain the exorbitant school fees charged by schools.

Muyingo in response informed MPs that the Government is handling the issue of exorbitant fees by ensuring that children can access free education.

Finance state minister in charge of general duties Henry Musasizi informed Parliament that he cannot confirm whether the money was released or not and that in case the resources are inadequate, some activities are pushed to the next financial year.
