In a campaign spearheaded by The World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Uganda targets to plant thirteen thousand trees that will cover 13 kilometres along river Rwizi banks.
Simon Peter Weredwong the head of conservation program at WWF revealed that they started the campaign last year where they planted at least 3000 trees and now they are adding the 500 noting that the program is still on going.
Weredwong however, said that in ecosystem conservation, different players have different targets where he challenged those targeting water bodies to choose the best species of trees to plant.
