KAZO:
Police in Kazo District are detaining a 40-year-old Kampala resident after he was intercepted at a roadblock over the weekend with meat from suspected stolen cattle.
The suspect, identified as Mugisha Jamil, was arrested in Kanoni Sub-County while driving a Toyota Probox, registration number UBN 446H.
Authorities recovered an amount of meat estimated to be equivalent to three slaughtered cows. Investigating officers state that the suspect was trafficking the meat to Kasese District and the Democratic Republic of Congo .
The Officer in Charge of Criminal Investigations for Kazo, Detective AASP Cyprian Byamugisha, confirmed the arrest. He stated that full investigations are underway to establish the exact source of the meat and dismantle the suspected stock theft racket.

Meanwhile, the Assistant Resident District Commissioner (ARDC) for Kazo, Gershom Mushabe, commended local residents for collaborating with security agencies. He urged the public to remain vigilant and continue sharing timely information to curb crime in the district.
