The deputy Resident District Commissioner Mbarara district Charles Lwanga has called upon the public to embrace the parish development model program, the game changer that aims at uplifting millions of Ugandans from poverty to money economy.
Charles Lwanga said this while closing a two-day training of trainers of data collectors from seventeen local governments in the south west region who are to train at village level.
The training facilitated by the department of local government statistics under the Uganda bureau of statistics was conducted at Mbarara district council hall Kamukuzi.
The senior statistician at Uganda Bureau of statistics UBOS in local government statistics Monica Rutahanda says data to be collected will be a baseline for parish development model information management system.
She clarified that with accurate data given and collected it can help to kick poverty from Uganda.
