The Nyabushozi County lawmaker Rtd Col. Fred Mwesigye has called for immediate action by the NRM party top leadership to plaque off what he termed as mafias and subversive elements out of the party system.

Mwesigye who is also part of the 27 NRA Bush war heroes says that the party has been infiltrated by wrong elements which he attributed to the recent disarray that marred the party primary elections.

Mwesigye, who has represented Nyabushozi for two terms in parliament, said he will seek appointment with the party chairman and raise some of the errors he identified in the party elections which he says must hurriedly be addressed.

He promised to name and shame those mafias to the party chairman.

Mwesigye lost in the party primaries to Wilson Kajwengye after a re-election following complaints of election rigging in the September 4th election where the former was first declared the winner.
