SIX IN POLICE CUSTODY FOR PRINTING OUT FAKE DRUG LABELS AND OPERATING CERTIFICATES

6 people are in police custody following a joint operation conducted by the National Drug Authority (NDA) and the Uganda Police force in Bushenyi district.

The greater Bushenyi police spokes person Marshal Tumusiime identified some of the suspects as Deo Mubangizi Marks, Cleophus Kyobutungi, Steven Bamwine, Jude Agaaba and Urban Agaaba,  Asiimwe Mwesigye arrested from Ishaka town.

He said all the six were employees of St Jude computer solutions who were found to be printing and issuing fake documents used on labeling boxes of drugs and fake operating certificates. 

The head of veterinary at NDA, Dr Jeanne Bukeka Muhindo, said that NDA is carrying out operations in the country to counter fake veterinary and human drugs on the market.
