WE ARE SOON BECOMING A GLOBAL SUPERPOWER, PRESIDENT MUSEVENI SAYS AS HE WARNS ON CORRUPTION

editor

President Museveni has expressed confidence in Uganda’s future as a significant global power.

He attributed this belief to the successful hosting of two international conferences: the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and G-77 plus China where he commended Ugandans for their hospitality towards the visiting delegates.

The President made the remarks while addressing the nation last night as a precursor to the commemoration of the 38th NRM Liberation Day anniversary celebrations that are underway in Jinja city.

Museveni shared that a Russian delegate, a deputy Minister, had informed him that only superpowers could successfully organize such conferences.

Museveni urged people to acknowledge the progress made in upcountry roads, such as those from Kisoro to Nimule and Busia-Busuunga in Bundibugyo, instead of solely focusing on the potholes in Kampala.

Museveni assured the nation that the government is committed to ensuring the security and well-being of Ugandan citizens, investors, and visitors.

The President vowed to curb the rampant corruption in Uganda noting that hewill write to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) and they forge away forward.

Museveni also said the bad actors involved in corruption would be exposed very soon and their appetite to steal taxpayers’ money would be lost instantly.
