By editor

The Attorney General Kiryowa Kiwanuka has said the government is set to launch a mobile app containing all the laws of Uganda.

Kiwanuka said they are going to be able to have the laws of Uganda accessible online explaining that as of now when one goes on the Internet and searches for a certain law,  he or she will get whichever copy , at times get outdated copies or incomplete ones.

He, however, said they will charge a fee for using this app which will be launched on December 31, 2023.

He said with the way the world is moving, people are working on the move or from home so there is no need to buy books which can be accessed online.

Kiryowa, who is the principal legal adviser to the government of Uganda, also said they were working on ensuring the timely dispensation of justice, especially in civil cases.
