A Boda boda cyclist who went missing a week ago has been found dead.
The lifeless body of 26-year-old Silivano Arinaitwe and resident of Ruhunga cell, Rubaya sub-county, Mbarara District was found lying in a bush near Mbarara University of Science and Technology last evening.
The body was spotted by Moses Guma, one of the area residents while grazing cattle.
Arinaitwe’s colleague, Peter Byamugisha, says that they last saw him on May 28th, 2021 around 5 pm at Kiyanja stage.
He says that the deceased picked his Jackets and left as if he was heading for a long journey, he, however, didn’t return, forcing them to start searching for his whereabouts.
Samson Kasasira, the Rwizi Region Police spokesperson, says that the deceased was identified by his colleagues and his wife, Jennifer Arinaitwe who reported a case of a missing person at Ruharo Post Police last week.
Kasasira says that his attackers might have targeted his new motorcycle registration number UFG 442F, which is missing.
